Cooking Method:

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup Royal Basmati  Rice
  • 4-5 cups water
  • Salt (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon oil or butter (optional)
 

Preparation:

  • Rinse the Rice: Rinse Royal basmati Rice 2-3 times under cold water to remove excess starch until the water runs clear.
  • Soak the Rice: Soak the rice in water for 120 minutes to ensure even cooking and longer grain length.
 

Cooking Instructions (Absorption Method):

  • Boil Water: In a pot, bring 4 cups of water to a boil. Add salt and oil/butter if desired.
  • Add the Rice: Drain the soaked rice and gently add it to the boiling water. Stir lightly to avoid sticking.
  • Simmer: Reduce the heat to low, cover the pot with a lid, and let it simmer for 11-12 minutes, or until the water is fully absorbed. Avoid opening the lid during this time.
  • Rest: Once cooked, turn off the heat and let the rice rest for 10 minutes under cover. Uncover the lid and serve sumptuous Sella rice.
