Harvesting

Paddy is harvested at the right maturity and dried to prevent spoilage.

Cleaning

Impurities like stones, dirt, and dust are removed using sieves and aspirators.

Parboiling and Steaming
  • White Sella Rice: Paddy is parboiled and steamed.
  • Yellow Sella Rice: Paddy is soaked, steamed, and stored in covered tanks for several hours to develop its signature yellow hue.
  • Steam Rice: Paddy is steamed without parboiling and sent for drying.

Paddy is dried to 12% moisture, using mechanical dryers.

The husk is removed with hulling machines, producing brown rice.
