Cooking Method:
Ingredients:
- 1 cup Rice
- 3 cups water
- Salt (optional)
- 1 teaspoon oil or butter (optional)
Preparation:
- Rinse the Rice:
- Rinse Rice 2-3 times under cold water to remove excess starch and ensure fluffiness.
- Soak the Rice (Optional):
Soak the rice in water for 45 minutes to help the grains expand during cooking.
Cooking Instructions (Absorption Method):
- Boil Water: In a deep pot, bring 2 cups of water to a boil. Add salt and oil/butter for added flavor, if desired.
- Add the Rice: Drain the soaked rice and carefully add it to the boiling water. Stir gently to prevent sticking.
- Simmer: Reduce the heat to low, cover the pot with a tight-fitting lid, and let it cook for 7 minutes until all the water is absorbed. Avoid opening the lid while cooking.
